I'm too much of a fan to consider that Pixar would "swipe my Snipes". I created these sketches and animation tests in 2003 . They bear a close resemblence to the Snipe in Pixar's new movie "UP". I was surprised to see Snipe hunting added to the story line of the movie, then I saw the Snipe and I was weirded out.
